Century, being an approved Operator for Ship-to-Ship Transfer, entails and act as an agent for any Principal who shall schedule a very large crude carrier or VLCC to be anchored at a designated position within Malaysian waters to carry out transfer of fuel oil between vessels. Such operation, per specified, requires it to be carried out in mid sea.

In view of the nature of said operation being carried out in mid sea, appropriate safety and environment care international guidelines are adhered accordingly. This includes those related to Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) and International Chamber of Shipping (ICS).

We started our first STS Operation in the early 1999 with Mt. New Renown as our first FSU in Pasir Gudang and we extended our business to the western side of Johor and operate one more FSU in Port of Tanjung Pelepas in the year 2002.

Presently, we have been nominated by our Principal to act as agent for eight (8) VLCCs which are located within the Port of Tanjung Pelepas and Pasir Gudang.

In view that the nature of such business involves a large base of both Authorities and vessels, a Customs approved shipping agent has been appointed to fulfill this portfolio.

Century, acting as the exclusive sub-agent, shall hold the responsibilities of providing vessel’s husbandry functions as well as clearance with the relevant Authorities and Governmental Agencies and also providing an approved license for STS operation to be carry out.
